Andolyn

Surprise!!! It's a girl!!!! That's right. We had our baby unexpectedly on sunday July 5th. It was another unreal experience! We went to church that morning...got home about 1 o'clock...Jared took a nap on the couch while i fed the kids and relaxed. When Jared woke up I told him i didn't want to be a hypochondriac...but i was feeling a little funny, i'd had a couple of contractions, but was feeling a lot of pressure. I had one good contraction and told Jared we better just go to the hospital and get checked out just in case. We called our neighbor and he came right over, I told him we may be back in about an hour, but we were just being safe. By the time we arrived at the hospital contractions were 3 minutes apart...Andolyn was born 4 minutes after arriving at the hospital and after just one push. The nurse caught her since again...no doctor!!! Absolutely surreal...and i was only 36 weeks again...she just caught us by surprise. But it couldn't have been more perfect. Jared was home, the neighbor was home and some of our good friends were available to watch the kids for the evening so Jared could spend a few hours with Baby and I.

Baby and I are both doing well, we're home now and the kids are so excited to have her here!!! And to throw in a fun tid bit about Andolyn...She has darker skin and a head full of dark brown (almost black) hair...unbelievable considering our 3 very blonde children!!!

Congratulations!! I didn't realize you were this far along but I am very happy to hear you and baby are both doing well. You make it sound like such a normal, every day experience to bring home another baby. Post pictures of her as soon as you possibly can! :)

Are you kidding? I can't believe it! Your birthing stories are so wild. You should write a book about 'em. What did your doctor say after promising to be there? :) Bet he wasn't expecting that. I'm glad you made it to the hospital though and that both of you are doing well. We're so excited for you guys and I can't wait for pictures. I'll give you a call when things settle at your house a bit, but I'm dying for more details! LOVES!
