If only I had a picture...

Well I don't have a picture to go with our story of the day, although if I could have set up a tripod to capture this moment it would have been worth thousands of words! Today when it was time to take london to the bus i couldn't find my keys...ANYWHERE! So i told the kids to go out and get in the car...more specifically "London, go get in the car, get your shoes on and get buckled...i'll bring your coat out with me. " So SEVERAL minutes later i found my keys ( we were now really late) and rushed out to the car. We sped off hoping to make the bus. Sure enough as we drove down our street, there was the bus...pulling away from the bus stop with all the other parents waving good-bye. I was trying to decide whether to follow the bus to the next stop or take london to school. I took a shortcut and we intersected the bus before it left our neighborhood. The sweet bus driver recognized us and waved...and then motioned to see if i wanted her to pull over...i emphatically nodded my head yes. She pulled over on the side of our two lane street and blocked traffic while i jumped out, grabbed London's coat and went to get london out...at which point i hear london screech...i don't have any shoes on!!! So in all of our late glory i carried london (superman style), her coat (mind you it's freezing out) and her shoes (in my other hand) and deposited her on the steps of the bus. The sweet bus driver took london's coat for me, London took her book bag and her shoes to her seat where her little friend helped her unknot them. But she made it to school with two shoes on, her coat and back pack on and smiling from ear to ear...man i wish i had a picture to share of that one!! Cheers to being able to laugh at yourself...over and over and over and over...

The mental picture of "superman style" . . . fun! I told Jeremy the other day they should make a reality show about SAHM's (some days are just too priceless) - then you would have caught it on tape!

That is awesome. I love the "superman" image.

Ali what a crappy start to a day. I think I would have opted for missing school. I don't know but yeah I am pretty sure we would have turned the car around headed for doughnuts (cause really why have nutrition if you are missing school) and then headed home for a play day. What a women you are. Your kids are beautiful and one day I will have a camera like you to take on photo shoot adventures. Hope you are all doing well. XOXOX

I love it! I think that kind of thing happens to me weekly. Isn't motherhood great?

Keys...they are always trouble! One day half way to school Hailey informed me that she didn't have any underware on... she also had a jumper on... the 2 don't work so well together. You can't tell a kindergartener to "be modest" all day when they sit cris-cross applesauce!

You're so awesome Ali! I love it. I can totally picture it. What a good attitude about it all you have. Life's better with a sense of humor.
