Taking time to enjoy life...

Well, some of you have wondered if we've fallen off the face of the planet. We haven't. But.. life happened... and it's taking some getting used to. We are now two months into school and I'm still adjusting. We went from summer vacation to hyper-scheduled, which was all my fault, but I'm trying to pull back and get a grip on life!! We had story time for london on monday morning, story time for Camden on tuesday morning, Story time for London on wednesday morning, speech therapy on thursday morning and school from 12:30-4:15 everyday... followed until recently by a neighborhood play date which lasted until after 5 p.m. everyday! Since General conference in october i have been trying so hard to find something everyday to smile about with my kids... trying not to see the bubbles blown in hot chocolate as a sure fire way to make a mess i will have to clean up, but instead a sweet little 3 year old lit up because he can make hot chocolate look like a bubble bath!!! How cool is that really! So for those of you wondering where we've been... we've been running around like chickens with our heads cut off... looking for the joy in each day... and cleaning up all the messes that came along the way sometime between midnight and 2 am. So if any of you have great suggestions on how to enjoy your kids every step of the way and not have to clean the house until the wee morning hours... be sure to share your wisdom!! So here are some of our quite moments we found smiles in... racing our scooters around the track of our main floor and riding the wooden rocking horse using one of London's necklaces as the reins... Wish you could all race and ride with us... we miss all of our family and friends who are so far away!!!

Oh the day the scheudle hit! I remeber it well. It's rather amazing isn't it. I am glad that you are finding joy in the journey. You can also give yourself a lot of pats on the back for even bieng up to the task! Let's face it... there are many who are not. Ali you are a beautiful mother.
My kids suggest mopping the kitchen floor in swimming suits. Someday's it doesn't feel worth the effort but it always is a blast!
