What makes a fancy girls heart sing?

We had a little "fancy nancy" themed playdate/birthday party for London this week and it was darling. She invited a friend to come to a dress up party. She loved getting all dressed up and having a "tea party"! I find it so funny as a parent to see in the end what really makes things special as a child. While she was excited at the store to be getting fancy drinks and snacks, that quickly wore off after the first 3 minutes. The real excitement was found in the dressing up, the "fancy" collage making and the making of a "fancy" canopy for her bed made out of a table cloth and shall! Kids find true joy in the simplest places!

It's good to hear that even though she's growing up so much, she's still the little princess that we know and love. We miss you, London!!

What a sweet post Ali! She is darling. I love all your pictures and I love that you are capturing these memories. She will be so grateful someday. How are you doing?

Your pictures are lovely, and your children darling! This new blog does do better justice to your pictures. I love the larger format. How'd you do this on blogger?
